I don’t understand what you mean in your computer::typewriter analogy. It’s like saying why use a computer (OG) when you have a typewriter (PP for flowchart)?
For highlighting text or an object, I use a cursor, which is a rectangle with a 4pt blue Stroke, and a white 0% Fill.Move elements around, as you explain things.
